3Children are a heritage from the Lord,
offspring a reward from him.
4Like arrows in the hands of a warrior
are children born in one’s youth.
5Blessed is the man
whose quiver is full of them.
They will not be put to shame
when they contend with their opponents in court.
-Psalm 127:3-5 (NIV)
Tomorrow is the big day that our first arrow, Hudson, will be turning TWO. As I am sitting here wondering where another year went, I can’t help but be a little nostalgic towards the past two years we had with him. You really don’t know the measure of God’s love until you have children yourself. If you didn’t have the qualities of patience, perseverance, and unconditional love before – most likely you will after you become a parent.
Since I haven’t been very faithful with blogging any of my late spring or summer sessions, I figured it may be a good starter to blog the most stressful party I ever threw together from last year: Hudson’s First Birthday (Wild Rumpus) Party. Not only is it a reminder of how much he has grown in a year, but also a reminder of why we throw big parties like this once (lol). Little did I know that we paved the way with making this theme (Where the Wild Things Are) for how his personality has been sprouting this entire year – adventurous, curious, and a little wild.
